GooGoo T-shirt display_0028.JPG
This picture of a display of Goo-Goo Cluster T-shirts was taken inside the Nashville Star store at the Nashville Airport.
When I think of Nashville, I think of Goo-Goo Clusters candy. It is a local favorite made with Real Milk Chocolate, Nuts (peanuts in the original and pecans in the newer supreme version), Carmel and Marshmallow nougat.
It is one of my favorite. I always get it when I return to Nashville. Unfortunately its price has skyrocketed to match its popularity. But it's still worth it.
GooGoo Candy Clusters was the world's first combination candy bar invented in 1912 at the Standard Candy Company at Clark & First Avenue in Nashville, TN.
There used to be a mural ad on a building downtown, that read "Baby says Goo-Goo for Candy". I tried to find that sign, but it was probably painted over years ago. It used to be near the original Grand-Ole Opry.
